Award-winning artisans Alex and Cindy Williams have created hand-crafted pottery in New Orleans for over 25 years. In their combination studio/showroom on Magazine Street, guests can meet Alex or Cindy at the wheel and browse their selection of unique bowls, mugs, plates, lamps, and more.
Home and family inspire Alex and Cindy, as is evident in their Bread Bowls (complete with Alex's Aunt Carmen's Quick Bread recipe) displayed on wood shelves hand-crafted by Cindy's dad. Every design is first tested in Cindy and Alex's home. Does the pitcher pour right, does the glaze hold up in the dishwasher, does this mug feel right in your hand? When they're happy with it, they feel confident you will love your one-of-a-kind, functional work of art in your own home.
From beautiful platters decorated with the iconic New Orleans water meter design to serving bowls graced with fleur-de-lis, New Orleans is both home and muse. Even palmetto bugs and other artfully rendered insects scamper across Cindy's whimsical mugs and bowls. The duo is always coming up with new designs, and particularly enjoy collaborating with restauranteurs, designers and customers to create stately custom-made sinks, lamps, and serving pieces to accentuate any décor.
Alex and Cindy imbue every piece they make with love, offered from their hands to yours. Enjoy your pottery, and get in touch, follow on Facebook or Instagram, or stop by for updates, custom designs, or bridal registries!
